Jessica Godin studied Painting at NSCAD University in Halifax, NS and after graduating she then moved to Perth, ON to be closer to family. As an artist, she is inspired by the vibrant colours and light as it is found in nature, and how to share that with the viewer while working primarily in painting and drawing mediums. Currently she mainly works in acrylic, studying the landscapes and floral elements from around her home within rural Ontario. "I enjoy exploring how different nuances of colour can impact how an image is perceived, evoking emotions within the viewer and describing memories and experiences from my past as well as sharing a piece of my home." She is currently a member of the Rideau Lakes Artist' Association as well as Arts Carleton Place.
