Donna McPhail

Donna is an artist with a background in textile design. She got her BFA in fine art and art education from Nova Scotia College of Art and Design in Halifax and spent the next 30 years teaching high school art. After retirement she moved to Perth, joined some art groups and began painting; first on canvases, then on furniture.
Her acrylic paintings feature flowers and fanciful fish and birds. She also paints designs on furniture using Fusion Mineral Paints. She is fascinated by patterns and colours and uses geometric shapes or patterns from nature in her work.
